ROLLER DERBY IN BARRIE!
You may have seen a poster, caught it on TV or heard it from your cousin out of town, but there's roller derby in Barrie and we'd love for you to join! Not sure if it's for you? Come on out to one of our two Meat and Greet and check it out with a few friends for free!
Meet the derby girls, watch a derby demo, check out our vendors, eat some of our food, and do some free roller skating! We're always happy to talk about roller derby, hold the hands of new skaters (if need be) and love meeting new people.

We will be holding a Fresh Meat Bootcamp to teach you everything you need to know about roller derby. We love it so darn much we want you to do it too! You'll learn the basics with a primary focus on safety and control.
Fresh Meat Bootcamp
When: Runs every Sundays at 5pm
Starts Sunday, September 15th at runs for 10 weeks. (no bootcamp Thanksgiving weekend)
Where: The Roller Skating Place, ODAS Park, Orillia
Cost: $125.00 and includes insurance
What you need to bring: Quad roller skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, a helmet, a mouth guard and a positive attitude.
Where can I get all this stuff?: There are few shops online that sell the gear - and they usually have a "fresh meat" package to get you set up all in one shot.

Gear packages cost different amount based on the pads and skates you choose. Roller Skate rental skate are available through ODAS park, however we encourage skaters to buy their own quad skates.
